Super Fast Recovery Rectifier
Super Fast Recovery Rectifier
Super Fast Recovery Rectifiers are designed for high-frequency power-conversion circuits where reverse-recovery behavior has a significant influence on switching performance.
Fast reverse recovery helps reduce recovery-related switching losses and can assist engineers in controlling voltage spikes and EMI in appropriately designed circuits. Selection should consider not only reverse-recovery time (trr), but also reverse-recovery charge (Qrr), forward voltage, leakage current, current capability and operating temperature.

SUPER FAST RECOVERY RECTIFIERS FAQ
They are commonly evaluated in high-frequency power-conversion and freewheeling applications where reverse-recovery behavior can affect switching loss, voltage spikes, and EMI.
No. In addition to trr, evaluate reverse-recovery charge, peak recovery current, recovery softness, forward voltage drop, leakage current, and thermal performance.
Not always. A faster device may improve switching behavior, but total efficiency also depends on conduction loss, temperature, circuit layout, switching device, and operating conditions.
Verify voltage class, current rating, trr or Qrr test conditions, package, pin configuration, maximum junction temperature, mounting method, and circuit waveform.
Send the existing part number, switching frequency, topology, reverse voltage, current waveform, temperature, package, and the associated MOSFET or IGBT information.
