The DSC40120P utilizes silicon carbide (SiC) materials, which provide high breakdown field strength and high thermal conductivity. This enables a high voltage rating, nearly zero reverse recovery current, high-speed switching, and a higher operating junction temperature.
Its forward voltage drop features a positive temperature coefficient. This characteristic is highly beneficial for achieving automatic current equalization when multiple DSC40120P devices are connected in parallel.
By supporting high-frequency operation, the DSC40120P allows system designers to reduce the physical volume of passive components, such as inductors and transformers, within the system.
